Get the Latest Firmware Update for FX30 and FX3

The Sony FX30 and FX3 compact cinema cameras will receive a major firmware update in August 25, 2025, designed to enhance usability and expand creative flexibility.

Among the key upgrades is the addition of the new "BIG 6" quick-access menu—first seen on the BURANO and VENICE—which allows cinematographers to view and adjust essential settings such as ISO, frame rate, LUTs, and NDs at a glance.

The firmware also adds support for 1.5x anamorphic de-squeeze, reflecting the growing popularity of anamorphic lenses and providing more options for lens pairing. The firmware updates will be available free of charge and are now live.
